Buyer questions
Eight questions buyers ask about the Sportsman Heritage 251, answered from the boats listed on US Marine Connection right now.
Right now US Marine Connection shows 3 priced Heritage 251 listings, and all of them are new 2027 boats rather than used ones. Asking prices run from $155,260 to $164,505, with a median asking price of $163,760. Those are asking prices, not recorded sale prices. Because there are no used examples listed at the moment, there is no used price range we can quote for this model today.
Every Heritage 251 currently listed is a 2027 model, three boats in total, all with photos. There are no older model years in the current inventory, so you cannot compare a 2027 against earlier builds on the site right now. One description notes the boat as new and in stock. If you want an earlier year, the sibling Sportsman models cover a wider span of years.
None of the three Heritage 251 listings states an engine hour figure, so we cannot give a typical number. That is consistent with what the listings do show: all three are 2027 models, and one is described as new and in stock, so hours would be minimal or delivery-only. If hours matter to you, ask the seller to confirm the reading at the helm before you commit.
Since the listed boats are 2027 center consoles with no stated hours, treat this as a new-boat inspection. Confirm the engine package matches the listing, one description specifies twin 150 HP Yamaha outboards, and check rigging, steering and battery connections. Verify hull and gelcoat condition after transport, test all electronics and pumps, and confirm registration, warranty paperwork and what is actually included on the boat you see in the photos.
The descriptions on US Marine Connection are fairly brief. One lists the hard numbers: 25.3 feet of length, a 9.3-foot beam and twin 150 HP Yamaha outboards. The other describes it as a center console built to blend performance, style and versatility, aimed at anglers, families and general boating enthusiasts. Beyond that, no specific options or equipment are named in the listings, so confirm layout and electronics directly with the seller.
Based on what the listings say, yes. One description points directly at families seeking memorable outings alongside anglers and general boating enthusiasts, and calls out versatility as a selling point. It is a center console at 25.3 feet with a 9.3-foot beam, so there is reasonable room to move around. The listings do not detail seating, shade or head arrangements, so ask the seller about those before deciding.
All three Heritage 251 listings on US Marine Connection are in Florida. Two are in St. Petersburg and one is in Miami, and every one of them has photos. That is the full current spread, so there is no inventory listed outside Florida at the moment. If you are shopping from elsewhere, those two cities are where the boats physically sit today.
On price, the Masters 247 Bay Boat is closest: 7 listings, all 2027, asking $154,629 to $155,728 with a $155,728 median, slightly under the 251's $163,760 median. The Open 232 is the volume model with 15 listings spanning 2019 to 2027 and asking $64,977 to $137,252, median $104,995, so it covers used years the 251 currently does not. Beyond price, years and counts, the listings do not support a feature-by-feature comparison.
