LOA: 25 ft | Engine Power: 300 HP | Engine Hours: 163 | Fuel Type: Gas | Propulsion: Single Outboard | Stock# SHOWRM-U-LB-00A223 \*\*THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION MAY NOT REPRESENT THE EXACT UNIT DISPLAYED\*\* The 2023 Shearwater 250 Carolina is a high-performance hybrid bay boat built for those who want a "do-it-all" vessel that looks as good as it runs. It’s defined by its Kevlar-reinforced construction and the signature Carolina Flare, which gives it a sharp, aggressive look while keeping the cockpit dry in choppy conditions. The Layout and Fishing Setup The boat is designed around two massive casting decks. The forward deck is expansive, featuring twin locking rod boxes and a large insulated fish box. At the stern, the casting platform is wide and stable, housing two high-capacity livewells that use high-speed pickups to keep bait fresh during long runs. Performance and Build Because it's built with Kevlar and carbon fiber materials, the hull is significantly lighter and stronger than a standard fiberglass build. This allows the 250 Carolina to plane almost instantly and reach high speeds even in shallow water. It typically handles a 300hp to 400hp outboard, providing enough power to cross open bays quickly or outrun a storm. Standout Features The Hardtop: One of its most famous features is the fiberglass hardtop, which often includes an integrated freshwater misting system to keep you cool in the heat. Seating: It balances fishing and family well, with plush helm bolsters and a hidden flip-up bench seat in the aft deck. The Console: The walk-in console is surprisingly spacious for a boat this size, providing a dry area for a head or bulk gear storage. The Finish: Shearwater is known for its "custom feel," using high-end JL Audio systems, premium upholstery stitching, and underwater lighting as standard or frequent upgrades. It’s essentially a tournament fishing machine wrapped in a luxury package, capable of floating in 14 inches of water while still being comfortable enough for a day at the sandbar.
