What Used Boats Are Listed For in Q4 2026: Asking Prices by Type, Brand and Decade
The numbers writers, forums and owners ask for and nobody publishes: median asking prices for used boats by type, brand and decade, measured from live listings rather than quoted from a guide book, and dated so you can cite them.

Most published boat value figures are a guide book's opinion, a broker's memory, or a forum post from three seasons ago. The tables below are different: each one is computed from the boats currently listed on this site with a real asking price, and refreshed hourly. Asking is not sold, and dealer asking prices run above what a private sale brings, so read every figure as the top of the conversation, not the bottom. The method is at the end of the page, with how to cite it.
Median asking price by boat type
Pontoons, center consoles, bowriders, bass boats, wake boats, cruisers, sailboats and personal watercraft each sit in a different price band, and the gaps between types are wider than the gaps between brands inside one type. Start here, then narrow by brand and age.
| Type | Median asking | Lowest | Highest | Listings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Center console | $109,012 | $4,500 | $1,513,412 | 756 |
| Personal watercraft | $14,699 | $2,499 | $41,997 | 560 |
| Bowrider / deck boat | $60,248 | $500 | $550,858 | 432 |
| Pontoon & tritoon | $55,790 | $2,999 | $474,544 | 338 |
| Fishing boat | $52,997 | $3,500 | $299,000 | 172 |
| Ski & wake | $66,948 | $2,499 | $385,000 | 78 |
| Cruiser / yacht | $149,998 | $5,000 | $3,450,000 | 74 |
| Other | $7,748 | $4,900 | $25,000 | 10 |
| Sailboat | $36,450 | $4,995 | $129,727 | 8 |
Median asking price by brand
Brands are ranked by the number of priced listings, so the top rows are the brands with the most data behind them. A brand with a high median and a small count is usually a premium line with a few units, not a price trend.
| Brand | Median asking | Lowest | Highest | Listings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yamaha WaveRunners | $14,099 | $6,499 | $32,499 | 297 |
| Sea-Doo | $17,488 | $2,499 | $41,997 | 173 |
| Yamaha | $18,299 | $2,999 | $186,249 | 158 |
| Sportsman | $149,995 | $34,995 | $931,520 | 126 |
| Skeeter | $84,308 | $20,998 | $129,311 | 114 |
| Robalo | $136,188 | $27,900 | $592,340 | 110 |
| Stingray | $51,563 | $6,500 | $162,900 | 100 |
| Bennington | $58,900 | $9,500 | $474,544 | 80 |
| G3 | $33,125 | $10,999 | $52,813 | 75 |
| Harris | $88,822 | $5,495 | $192,657 | 69 |
| Bayliner | $38,995 | $500 | $119,930 | 53 |
| Scout | $83,900 | $12,900 | $1,373,549 | 45 |
| Sea Hunt | $139,900 | $46,997 | $266,299 | 37 |
| Premier | $123,910 | $8,695 | $349,430 | 35 |
| Sea Pro | $114,977 | $29,977 | $309,977 | 31 |
Median asking price by decade of manufacture
Age is the largest factor after type. The decades below show how asking prices step down as boats get older; past the second decade the model year is only a rough sort, and repower, transom and storage history set the price.
| Decade built | Median asking | Listings |
|---|---|---|
| 1980s | $6,000 | 9 |
| 1990s | $11,750 | 34 |
| 2000s | $16,750 | 128 |
| 2010s | $38,995 | 292 |
| 2020s | $64,529 | 1957 |
How to read these numbers
- Asking, not sold. Final prices for used boats typically settle below asking; the discount varies by type, season and how long the boat has been listed.
- Dealer and private listings are pooled. Dealer asking prices include reconditioning, warranty and overhead; a private seller with the same boat usually lists lower.
- Rows with few listings are noisy. Types, brands and decades with under five priced listings are left out of the tables for that reason.
- Hourly refresh, quarterly snapshot. The tables change as inventory changes; the quarter in the title is the snapshot period for anyone citing a figure.
Method and how to cite this report
Source: every approved listing on US Marine Connection with a price above zero, grouped by boat type, by brand (case-insensitive, five or more priced listings) and by decade of manufacture. Medians are the 50th percentile of asking price within each group. Figures are recomputed every hour from the live database; nothing on this page is typed in by hand.

Frequently asked questions
- Are these sold prices or asking prices?
- Asking prices. They are the prices sellers list at on this site, recalculated hourly. Sold prices are not public for private sales, so asking medians are the most complete measured figure available, and final prices usually settle below them.
- How current are the figures?
- Each table is recomputed every hour from the boats currently listed. The quarter in the title is the citation period; the January 2027 edition will carry the Q1 snapshot.
- Can I quote these numbers in an article or forum post?
- Yes, with a link to this page and the date you accessed it. The tables are measured from live listings and are free to cite.
- How do I get a value for my own boat from this?
- Find your type and decade here for the band, then run the free appraisal, which compares your boat against the live listings closest to it in brand, year and condition.
